Requirement:
• Must have minimum 3 years of technical support experience
• Min. D3 degree
• Excellent communication skills
• Knowlegde to remote support tools like Windows Messenger, RDP, Net Meeting            
• Excellent knowledge of PC & laptop hardware    
• Expert knowledge of Windows XP operating system                                                            
• Intermediate understanding of network & windows server environment                               
• Preferable to have understanding of PBX & telephony systems operation
• Good english skills
• Teamwork oriented
 
 
Job Desc:
• Provide support to company internal users for PC/laptop related support
• Should use the internal CRM application to log new cases & update progress on existing cases in a timely manner
• Follow all procedures laid out for the Amdocs  PC team on a day-to-day basis
• Use technical knowlegde bases(internal & external) to resolve technical issues & collaborate on issues with relevant teams as required
• Support meeting/conference room IT infrastructure                                                      
• Handle basic LAN issues in coordination with Network team                                                    
• Manage Telephony instruments with support from Telephony experts                                      
• Perform Logistics related activities like receiving IT equipment, updating asset management system & allocating IT equipment to employees

[vacancy] Vacancy as TOP DRIVE TECHNICIAN



THE SIMMONS GROUP, a Canadian company, operates world wide with divisions including Edeco Petroleum Services, Simmons Drilling (Overseas) Limited, PT Mutiara Biru Perkasa, and Oryx Oil and Gas.

 

The core business of Simmons is onshore drilling and workover operations principally serving the oil, gas, gas storage, geothermal and geoscientific markets internationally.

 

To support our operations in Indonesia, we are seeking highly qualified Experienced Candidates for the following positions:

 

                                                TOP DRIVE TECHNICIAN

 

Experience required:

 

Preference will be given to those with 3+ years experience rigging up, operating, troubleshooting and maintaining Tesco HMIS Top Drive.

 

Those with 5+ years experience in operating and repairing electric and/or hydraulic equipment and in oil and gas drilling operations (Rig Mechanic / Field technician) will be considered.

 

Educational Qualifications:

 

Tech/Vocational certificate

 

Ability to complete computer generated reports is required.  English is an asset.

  

 

Job Description:

·  Test, install, troubleshoot and repair Top Drive Drilling Equpment;

·  Train personnel on Top Drive technology, operation & maintenance – instruct and monitor rig crew in the proper set up, operation and removal of Top Drive Unit to ensure safe and efficient use of equipment.

·  Minimize downtime through preventive maintenance and training - perform routine maintenance on the power and top drive units, changing oils and filters, tightening bolts, changing parts, and repairing whatever is necessary to maintain unit's proper function

·  Repair Top Drive equipment in the field.

·  Ensure all serial numbers, parts, and assembly documentation is recorded and maintained as per company and legal requirements

·  Assist Rig Manager with the procurement of Top Drive parts as required for supplies and inventory to be maintained at a reasonable level

·  Supervise the test of repaired and newly installed equipment for optimum performance, and to ensure our equipments meets specifications

·  Recommend Improvements and suggest upgrades.

 

 

NOTE:

 

This is a field position with a 28 on / 14 days off rotation.  The successful candidate will work 12 hour shifts, but will stay at the drilling location, and is expected to be on call 24hrs in the event of equipment failure.
