Web Engineer
About the right candidate:
Are you a Web Engineer who's looking to join a company that's going to have a positive impact on the world rather than just producing distractions? If so, we think we've got the opportunity you're looking for. As a Web Engineer, you've faced big challenges in building scaleable web applications that service hundreds of thousands or millions of users. You understand the dynamic nature of the Web and stay at least two steps ahead. You know your application's peak QPS as well as your phone number and it effects every line of beautiful code you write.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Have written highly scalable web applications, preferably in Java or Scala
- Have your preference of distributed data store (Riak, Redis, Cassandra, etc.) and use at least one regularly
- Know web security inside and out (XSS, CSRF/XSRF)
- Understand the challenges of building social, real-time applications
- Know the compulsory front-end implementation stack (HTML, CSS, Javascript, jQuery, etc.)
- Are cautious by nature, but your communication with the Ops Team lets you sleep at night
Nice-to-haves:
- Understanding digital startup strategy and full of ideas
- Experienced in a scripting language such as Python
- Have built applications using the Lift framework
- Love playing Ping Pong
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of professional programming experience
- You've done this before

- Know how to efficiently utilize graphics software such as Adobe Premium Suite and HTML
- Are cautious by nature, willing to adopt new technology such as mobile application, GUI and etc.

- Details & communicative person
- Love playing Ping Pong
Qualifications:
