The detailed job description is below:


Job Title:  Compensation & Benefits Leader

Languages:  Excellent Command of both written and spoken English Language.

Location: Jakarta

Job Responsibilities:


As Compensation & Benefits Leader, the incumbent will be responsible for the following:

  • Develop and execute cost-effective, performance-based, market aligned and compliant compensation & benefits strategies for all business units to generate superior shareholder returns whilst simultaneously maximizing the employee value proposition.
  • Reinforce the 'pay-for-performance' philosophy eg. develop and implement incentive plans to drive performance & targeted retention strategies to lower attrition, etc.
  • Lead and drive compensation projects across all entities that will redefine many of the current compensation programs.
  • Develop and deliver communication strategies to ensure employees have an accurate understanding and appreciation of their compensation & benefits thereby increasing their effectiveness.
  • Provide direction, leadership and developmental guidance to the compensation team.
  • Tracking market intelligence / trends, conducting in-depth analysis to generate trends and recommendations.
  • Work closely with business leaders and HR Relationship Leaders on a day-to-day basis to consult on compensation matters
  • Collect and organize the personnel requisitions received from all departments and categorize by type of transaction 
  • Review thoroughly the information in the requisitions / transactions and ensure its accuracy. 
  • Ensure adherence to headcount budget unless rightly justified and approved by relevant parties. 
  • Propose a headcount budget plan, Update headcount budget, Calculate annual salaries. 
  • Prepare budget salaries of the coming year, Review and control human resources budget on a monthly basis. 
  • Conduct salary surveys with external consultant agency to ensure maintaining a fair pay structure. Analyze function profiles and rank jobs. 
  • Evaluate jobs weight taking in consideration market survey, Develop a salary structure considering jobs weight. 
  • Review the salary structure with the consultant according to job ranking, Attend meetings with department managers to agree on department salary transaction. 
  • Collect and organize all effects on payroll on a monthly basis, Send the payroll instructions monthly to the Finance considering all transactions of the month i.e. starters, leavers, deductions / demotions, promotions, social box …etc. 
  • Conduct a meeting with each department manager to prepare a promotion plan, Make proposal and recommendations 


Desired Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelor Degree / MBA with minimum 7 years experience 
  • Good understanding of compensation & benefits
  • Consulting and Project management skills
  • Ability to think critically and present solutions in a larger context.
  • Excellent analytical, collaboration, and communication skills.
  • Ability to lead teams and influence collaborators.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and Power Point
  • knowledge of the principles & practices of compensation methods & techniques (preferable Hay System) 
  • Understanding market changes. *Basics of payroll ( including insurance and taxes) 
  • Employee's cost (including company obligations and benefits) 
  • Pay related financial knowledge i.e. inflation rates, official prices increase
  • Excellent numerical/logical skills
