· Taking a leading role in developing a commercial finance department to support all businesses of the Group based in Afghanistan. · To include, but not limited to, identifying the departments resource needs, identifying an appropriate staff structure and recruitment. · Establish a good working relationship with the transactional finance function based in Kabul and mutually determine appropriate service level agreements that helps the department · Work as a business partner with the senior managers of all profit centres to identify there reporting and day to day needs. Be proactive in the support of ad hoc requirements. · Provide project viability analysis on all commercial projects before any commitment to the project is made by the business. · Ensure information and data submitted to the project managers to complete the government financial returns is accurate, consistent with the budget agreed with the customer and uses appropriate language to describe expenditure categories. · Work with the CFO and Group Financial Controller in Dubai to establish their routine planning forecasting and reporting requirements and formats, as well as those needs of the directors. · Participate in the budgeting and planning process both for the commercial finance function and the businesses in general. · Be an active member of the project management team for the implementation of a new ERP system. · Production and Maintenance of a Company Procedures Manual. · Training of staff in all departments with regards to procedures to be followed. · Regular follow up and review of systems to ensure continuous improvement. · Ensuring the timeous production of accurate financial figures. · Budgeting & Forecasting o Annual Budget preparation o Monthly Forecast update o Weekly 3 months estimate in Birds Eye Report |
