Dear All, We are looking for a Design Area coordinator for our client in Oman, details of the same can be found out below Position 1 : Design Area Coordinator Work Location : Interior of Oman, in any of the PDO sites. Work Schedule : 3 months working, 1 month off unpaid Accommodation : Food & Accommodation provided by the Client       Role in the Contract     ·         To manage in the interior location, smooth implementation of multi-discipline projects engineered by the Contractor's coastal office - in the pre-construction, construction and commissioning phases by acting as an effective focal point in assimilating / anticipating the problems involved and finding a solution for the same to enable the construction and commissioning to proceed within tight time and cost constraints to an acceptable quality. ·         Shall report to Site Manager and Functionally to Engineering Manager.   Qualification Requirement ·         Degree in a relevant engineering discipline (B.Sc./M.Sc./B.Eng.), and membership of internationally accepted applicable professional Institute.   Experience Level Needed ·         Minimum of 12 years' experience in design, specification, construction and general project engineering of oil and gas facilities, with a sound knowledge (min. 5 years' experience) of project planning / construction and commissioning.   General Requirement ·         Must have worked as a single-point responsible Site manager for construction supervision for a medium size oil/gas projects. ·         Must be PC literate and must have sound technical judgment. ·         Good spoken/written English, adept in conducting formal meetings, summarizing and closing-out of pending issues. Must have abilities to keep track of a number of unrelated projects running simultaneously.   Specific Requirement ·         A minimum of 2 years Company or SHELL group experience is required.   Principle Accountability ·         Single point responsibility in the interior for the execution of Company engineering projects during the construction / commissioning phase. ·         To fully understand the requirements of shut down planning, constructability and interface aspects. ·         Ensure that HSE matters are given due consideration. ·         Ensure projects are executed in line with Company / International / Shell standards and specifications. ·         Supervise, advise and guide the discipline personnel to ensure that they work in tandem with the basic objectives of having a set-up in the interior. Highlight issues that may arise in priorities, workload, competency, etc. ·         Exercising control over manpower and material resources. ·         To exercise change control and variance control on each project. ·         To ensure the communication with, and involvement of, all interested disciplines to each project. Reporting status on projects in a timely manner, highlighting issues which could impact on construction & commissioning matters. ·         Ensure technical documentation on completion of a project goes into the drawing management system maintained by the Contractor.   Personality Requirement ·         Good interpersonal & communication skills and an extrovert.
